This is great, personal. I know that feeling! Lived that feeling concerning an opal ring from my parents gifted me when 18. It disappeared for 8 years, then one day going through our storage (2023), I saw it on an 'acquantaince's' finger. YOUR HEART RACED, my adrenaline quickly turned me excited, I squealed, jumped up and down and yanked before the thief or anyone knew what the hey was happening. God did that. I love your write and also like being reminded of that serendipious moment. All the best with the contest. If true, I will jump around for you, too.
