September Mist SS
As blankets air from summer hibernation
bright Hawaiian shirts take up their rotation;
as I place them in the Chinese camphor chest
the winter melancholy needs be addressed;
the start of gray descent on sunrise and soul
is unwittingly each new September’s roll.
