September
When dusk doth' fall
Upon winter's cool cold face
It appears' within reason
That desolation
Is a sad and lonesome place
------
Dawn gives rise to sunlight
After sleeping the night away
Stars' give way to clouds'
The moon just fades' away
Leaving me unsafe and
Spellbound for another day
Has yet to come
Where the flowers' grow increase
------
And wasn't I the Spirit
Who walked you threw time
Steadied your reason when
You were blind
- And -
Who was it but I,
Who entered into your sorrow
Shown the path to the light
When there was not tomorrow
But the invisible protector of sanity
Least suspect of them all
------
Wisdom from which we find
Good grace
Sent from above...
