Sentimentality

Blue streets and withering weathers, In the middle yet too far, When near, the nemesis narrows not A calm that your sweet air might mar The sound of birthing silence, I wonder how how it feels. Melodies of melting mountains mourning, Free birds under the lush sky to blame Astonishing symphonies fading away, These winds will not rhyme today To bury in these underweight verses, I wonder how it feels. Seven feet above death, seven steps closer to life To walk, I wonder how it feels. _____________________ 24th of May, 2022 Sentimentality Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Julia Ward
