Sentimentality

Sentimentality O' sentimental I, the judge of my confidences, toils to no end, embroiled in fickle negotiations that constants my door, mercilessly, slants and opacity advents the path of mirage victims, relic a past, a remiss garden of ripened apples fall, bittersweet looms unnoticeably, like so many apples that fell, festers ... a gardener tastes his lost Eden. 2022 May 23 *2nd Place* Sentimentality ~~Julia Ward: Judged 2022 June 05

William, what an amazing haiku string. Have to agree with Chris on the brilliance of your last line. But, all of your previous haiku lead us to this very place. Mahalo for sharing your brilliance. Congratulations!

LOL! An error on my part,--baffled was I on your enlightenment--'twas not intended to be a Haiku and I had corrected it to a Free Verse, albeit, your sentiments are a brighter cheer than our Hawaiian summer morning my friend, Aloha~William
