The Situation Poet Rhyme

Sent

i sent my love to her address
but it came back unopened
i sent my heart and soul to her
but they went unused and broken
i sent her all my sympathies
to heal her wounded heart
and i sent every holiday
with my presents and my art
but alas my love was no more
before i even knew
she took the place where i sent love
and left me so so blue
but i can give her something
that she can't refuse
something that i'll give her
no one else can use
i can give her tears
fallen from my eyes
i can give her longing
from a long and lonely life
i can give her mourning
in my own unique way
and i can give her memory
that will never go away
