Sense and Science
. for public domain
Attribute to the space between
a swaying willow tree and me,
a Nothingness not to be seen.
No fog, no haze, no wisp of smoke
blocks my view behind its cloak,
to hide the tree of which I spoke.
But something's there I do not see,
for Science argues there must be.
My vision and Science, they disagree.
And so it is with all I sense.
Something is beyond, and hence,
my senses, Truth, misrepresents.
Beyond my own senses I must seek.
Truth transcends my senses weak,
and Science offers up a peek.
And so I transcend twice a day.
Senses and Science both have their way,
and I not minding come what may.
