L Milton Hankins January 27, 2022 at 6:13 PM Thank you so much, Eve. I believe many western poets classify everything with the 5-7-5 syllable arrangement a haiku. Wrong! If the poem treats human emotion, feelings, motivation, interactions, etc., it may look like a haiku, but, it is a senryu. Thanks for clearly pointing this out.
