Send Me Back

Waking up from my nightmares,
That haunt me as they take her away,
Wishing, hoping, pleading,
For something that will change the past.
My heart is broken,
Knowing hurts,
Leaving is painful,
Yet forcing myself to leave,
Will calm the demons,
Lord send me back to save her,
From death,
Which I dread everyday.
Send me back to a time,
Where love endures all,
And I will make her whole again.
Send me back so I can breathe again,
And save the future.
Please Lord send me back!
I drift off to sleep
Opening my eyes I see Toni again.
I am back.
