Self-discovery

Self-discovery
I have been robbed of the joy well deserved,
The golden confidence beneath,
The inner peace.
I have been robbed of a voice, treasured
Caged, and echoing behind my rib cage.

What a long journey of discovery,
Discovery of wealth carried in me.
And now I am a walking art,
Built from fragments of my broken past.

I peeped through my destiny,
In between blank pages, I saw happy endings.
Elevation and new beginnings.
Red carpet down with a price,
To the scars etched to my soul.

I peeped through my destiny,
And like stories created behind my paintings,
I saw something like I great cup of coffee on a hot sunny day.
Clear sky, swaying trees.
Something like a good bedrest after a long day.

A long journey of discovery, it has been
For, I've cagged out the most beautiful hidden parts of myself,
I never knew existed.
And now I am my best book on my bookshelf.

On my mirror,
A warrior is reflected,
Deep into my eyes, gazing
Straight at the queen I am.

I see fire, The desire,
To conspire with God above.
To give me wings so I can fly beyond.
At my pace
But, So they say, The power of the words spoken.

No baby steps, No! I took enough
I've seen my worth
And I know depth of my Faith
Never am I Ever settling for anything less.
I've seen my power,
And I know depth of my strength.
Now I am taking my position.

Time I've taken enough,
To look deep into my soul
Exactly how I stare at my artworks
When something is missing.
Then pooof with one final touch of discovery,
A whole masterpiece created.
