Self help: Friend

You, my friend, I'll look out for you,
Stop the storm shooting you down,
I'll reach out to you to catch all the hurt,
Stop you from hitting the ground,

I'll shade you from rumours flung from the sky,
Keep your name bathed in what's right,
And make sure you're standing by the end of the day,
Make sure you're still in the fight,

You, my friend, can expect one thing from me,
One big thing that I will provide,
And that's to be with you when the struggle is real,
And to be there to stand by your side.
