Self Centered ;)

Ahhhhhhhh, to be full
	to have no empty place……reside
Full of the merely physical
	or of the roaring tide.

Ahhhhhhh, to be full
	of wonder, potential growth..inside
Full as sunlight on the moon
	in mystery abide.

Full of man, as women born
	 and man encased …………beside.

Bereft of longing…just FULL
	my own love of I.

Deborah, I like this poem a lot. Sometimes it is hard for people to love themselves. But we all shoud do so. It's even in the Bible! "...Love thy neighbour as THYSELF!!!" Too many people fall short of the thyself part and live unhappy lives. We are supposed to be HAPPY! This poem has great wisdom in every line! Love, DAS-J

this sounds like you are settling for lonliness and regretting things past (to be full of wonder, potential growth inside ) things you can't feel anymore. Its sad to me.

I'm with you on this. nothing quite like a belly full of love and self respect. Third stanza threw me off a bit. "Full of man, as women born and man encased beside." If I had to guess it sounds a bit neofeminist, woman in the center man encased beside her. Otherwise this seems as refreshing as an ice cold soda which, due to years and years of heavy marketing from Coca Cola ads I now associate the word ahhhh with soda...in fact I think the poem made me thirsty:)

Maybe not so self centered as we must love ourself before we can truly love another Deborah. Love, Carol
