Self and So On

Self is important; too much "self" is as SELFISH as cancer
Everywhere, self-help gurus and coaches help us do better
Lest we give up especially when young, pummeled by "disgrace" -
Freedom is desirable through education - holistic of course
I am not responsible enough to be the most important "self" around
So much misery is caused by leaders and thinkers who hate limits
Holy Spirit is here to help. But we coexist with many spirits.

Michelle Faulkner December 2, 2021 at 5:28 PM I think giving to others and showing respect will bring more happiness than a self centered attitude - and I love how you end with 'coexist with many spirits'! I have gone to a Uniterian church and their philosophy is exactly that - 'coexist' Anil Deo December 2, 2021 at 11:16 PM Thanks so much Michelle (I was inspired by your recent Acrostic i think?). I did enjoy about 6 months of attendance at a Maryland Unitarian Church, hearkening to universalism from luminaries like Emerson. I recall Adelphi Unitarian Church, near Cherry Hill Rd. Truth be told, I became "conservative" in terms of making Jesus front & center (avoiding "cultural universalism" - 6 or half-dozen?)
