Self-Reflection
Self-Reflection
Hobbes
What does it mean to live in fear?
A fear of something inside of you,
Bying for freedom,
Pleading for release,
Fighting for dominance.
Showing visions of death,
Of violence,
Of your innermost desires,
Twisted and disturbed.
They haunt me to this day.
What does it mean to loose control?
All my hatred and anger unleashed,
Harming the innocent,
Destroying my life,
Tearing down barriers.
All I could do was sit by and watch,
Aware and unable to act,
As my body attacked.
Though my mind was trapped inside,
Forced to watch as the horror unveiled.
What does it mean to live in conflict?
I battle so that it can never get out,
Never again harm,
Never voice vile thoughts,
Never spread its hatred.
I have all but destroyed the voices,
But they are still there,
Feint wispers in my mind.
And when I look into the mirror,
I fear it won't be me in the reflection.
The day the beast is free again...
