Seeking An Answer To Find

Once again, My Lord,
Towards Your Wisdom, I turn,
Seeking an answer to find:

Why the many, instead of
Pursuing Your eternal bliss,

Choose

With the pleasures of fleeting
Phenomena, themselves to bind?

The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life... these are the seeds of the failure of mankind. Look to things eternal for meaning and purpose in life. We will never know these answers while still here in the physical state on Earth my dear friend. Only God can help us with understanding the folly of mankind. Bless you and your poetry, Demetrios. Those earthly pleasures will be short lived but his heavenly paradise is for eternity. A shame many are blind to that fact. Tom

I appreciated the distinct spirit and elegance of your poetry, dear Demetrios. The phenomenon is short-lived, as you so well pointed out, my friend.
