Seeking a Laugh

Climbing a wooden ladder, seeking a laugh!
Guffaws in splinters — as I grab each side splitter.
A crescendo after the rung chuckles.
The thinning air and applause, prolapse my breath.
My knees might buckle as I collapse.

Thanks, Line! I went to see a comedian who with each new line had me laughing harder until I couldn’t breathe! I’m sure most have had this experience if you are prone to laughter. :)
