Seeing Is Believing
Never have I ever seen the like
Of a polar bear riding a trike
Or a whale riding an elephant.
Simply, in my book, irrelevant
Things I know I’ll never see,
Unless I pay an exorbitant fee!
Like the time I paid ten dollars
To see two naked giant brawlers
In a sideshow at a traveling carnival
Yes, I was young and stupid, pal.
Which is why I am not very rich
I’m taken in by every barker’s pitch
And, yes, I’d probably pay to see
The sordid sex life of the honeybee!
