See You Again Mummy

It dawned on me that you had gone, long before I could fathom your character That thawed my heart away, into a tune that cannot be stopped A tune of generosity and happiness, Oh mother you lived a life well charmed Gave alms and the little you had, A smile ever donned on your face Unfortunately, you left in a dash, not to be seen again. We have your memories, closely linked in our hearts Like the woven linen from the willows, we cluster them dearly But sorrow sips our nerves, to our cradles we fall For your presence savored our fear, that was too palpable Even in death, your precepts shall abide with us So that our sojourn can be a harbor for all I feel like making a sonata, for us to be connected in a glance Here you have left us in limbo, with moments of despair Oh death you are so cruel Heaven is your new home, we will meet someday Hope you are watching over us and I will not fear again For your life’s reflection strengthens me, till the crow of the night fades I shall feel you close in my heart For Jesus wipes away our tears as your family
