Seduction In Spring - a Haiku Garland

Cherry Blossoms Bloom Resplendently dressed in Pink Seducing the Spring Glory unfolding They release their sweet fragrance Pirouette and twirl Music from the breeze With limbs so graceful swaying Blushing and bowing Time of renewal A fleeting symbol of life In two weeks farewell Ethereal Muse Celebration of nature Next spring awaits you
Author's Note: I hope that in this set of Haiku, I've managed to convey the traditional importance of the Cherry Blossom Season in Japan. Cherry blossoms are the symbolic flower of the spring, a time of renewal and the fleeting nature of life. Their life span is very short. After their beauty peaks around two weeks, the blossoms start to fall. I liken these flowers to the beautiful Heavenly elusive Muses, the daughters of Zeus. The awesomeness of the natural beauty of Japan is continued in the my poem and arrangement - 'A Rose by any other name ---'

Thank you Elizabeth. I do have a Japanese inspiration in my lovely daughter-in-law, who has taught me a lot. You should have a go, remember its all to do with nature on the first two lines, as she reminds me.

This is beautifully written Maria, although a little out of my league, the visual thought needed to see and convert this scene to poetry does not seem to fit me, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, my poem, "Analysis of my Poetry" gives an into my limitations, lovely poem Bob x

Ah Demetrios my friend - I wondered where you were these last few days. Hope you've been well. Just to be different I wanted to portray Spring as a male and likened the Cherry Blossoms as the illusive Muse daughters of Zeus. Thank you for all the 7's - it means a lot coming from a Dr of Philosophy - Blessings
