“Would you learn the secret of the sea? Only those who brave its dangers, comprehend its mystery!” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Turquoise splendor
Soothing, so tender
Sprays of salty liquid
Painting my senses
In thrills and serenity
Cobalt whispering
Through silence
Caressing the spirit
With gentleness
Sighs of contentment
Sapphire brilliance
Risking the winds
Dancing with intimacy
Like a kiss against naked skin
Electrifying as the falling star
Azure laughing
Singing to the night
Rousing the heart
To feelings so alive
They breathe past all hurt
Cerulean praises
Rushing toward a full moon
Alone on the waves
Riding swells of breakers
Leaning into prayers for courage
Indigo longings
Beckon for the memories
Of moments spent on waves
Surfs of light and sound
Shadowed by the seas calling
Ashy flow of mermaid abode
Rising on the sand
With shells molding prints
Visions of promises spent
On seas of melancholy
This ocean of loneliness
Embraces my quiet thoughts
With mists of kindness
Penetrating my yearning soul
Racing to bring me solace
