Secrets In a Storm

Secrets sail on the whirling winds,
along with the dark and driven clouds.
Carried aloft with litter and leaves
are invisible, partly submerged longings:

to hitch a ride on the primal rawness,
to abandon all things set and tethered,
to project oneself toward the unknown,
while thriving through the natural chaos.

Dave Timperley February 5, 2015 at 11:53 AM Odd that a line from an old Country song leaps into my mind as I read these poems. A Slim Whitman song. " Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweed". I just enjoyed, what I saw as, your portrayal of "drifting on the breeze though life's troubles. I must look up the lyrics now as it's a lovely song. God Bless. D.
