Second Grade Knowledge

Knowledge of the universe, knowledge of good and evil What is at the end of infinity? OK, infinity came in tenth grade.... Hell fire and brimstone scorches eternally for the decievers, nonbelievers and antichrists. Second grade: the year I fell from grace. I found out Santa wasn't REAL.... Just gifts from my parents and yes there was a limit to the dollars they could spend. Life was never the same. Always had to settle for what was available. I learned alot of lessons that way; some valuable like save a few bucks for a dry spell. The money well might go dry one day. The roof might collapse or some other calamity can occur along the way. Funerals cost at least ten thousand dollars and death and taxes are the only certainties these days. Maybe I've gotten off the subject a little.... Second grade....knowledge or some would say it is anti-knowledge based but when you lose Santa in a few seconds.... I knew there was a mightly force, higher power out there watching over me and protecting me. Yes, I was baptized in a country church; a real believer, born again spirit filled christian saved by the blood of Jesus Christ and would never ever be truly alone again! My second grade knowledge brought me through life and alot of hard knocks.

My mom, sister and brother kept me believing in Sant way past second grade, but i was not the brightest kid in the world. Later after i got saved, knew that santa was not about the real Christmas, but Jesus Christ was. this was a great moving and touching piece.

I don't know how I missed this one..That is the bad part about having a older brother who blabbed..Good job explaining how not believing in Santa helped to develop a belief in a Higher Power..Thanks for stopping by..Mom

sounds like second grade as a really important one for ya, Doris. I can't even remember when I realized about Santa! I recall that 7th grade was my turning point in my life, however. I finally learned how to be me. LUv, Andrea

Good morning Doris, how r U... this thought is different. And wise! I agree with u at some level. I'm sure learning life is not what we thought at grade 2 puts a dent in our knowledge..but in the other hand its better to find out while our knowledge is still blooming and getting nourished.. why go through life believing in tooth fairies and so on... one cant always rely on a dollar or even give one... so its better to be smart like a second grader.. always believing.... enjoyed,..p.d.
