Second Chances

Tomorrow is a lie and the lie of tomorrow is
There will be a second chance to say
All the I love you’s and miss you’s and
Everything that needs to be said
The lie of tomorrow rings with truth
All the words left unspoken and never heard
Whispered affections that will renew
Long lost relationships and connections
To you who is lost in transition
A wayfaring stranger to truth
Will there be another chance, a possibility
Of tomorrow or will it simply be
The lie of tomorrow to keep you company
Through the years.

A mentor of mine always told me "we live in an eternally present moment in which we either do it or don't do it".

I agree, with you and with Lyric Man's comments. Oh it is so easy to put things off, but there is no point because there is no way to know if tomorrow will come. Thanks for great words Regina, Hugs :)
