Second Chance To Life

*"A SECOND CHANCE TO LIFE"* He stared at death eye ball to eyeballs With subtle glance as he tried to take him away Whispering his routine rituals as he drag the soul of his body He lay still, lifeless with a smile I'm gone forever he muttered From another ward appears the  doctor In a cold voice he announces We've lost him Inconsolable tears bathed the wife and mother All ripped and torn apart A strange lady came by his death bed Sobbingly regretting the pregnancy she had I haven't told him he's the father She was one of his short corner shots Not far away are group of gossip Exchanging words of stories of life they know nothing about. Oh it's really the end, he stroll across the room Saw one lamenting in pain, asking for death to take him away Who told you death was an escape from pain To his left , a family rejoicing of a new birth into this troubled world He said to himself another have been sent to into this journey He went to his house to find his wife with a bowl of rich delicacy Is the mourning over so soon? I can't live without you is already eating Less than three hours after his death This made him shed little tears. Let's just say the dead also cries With thoughts of his lovely friends Must be devastated by the news of my death I have to find a way to console them Let's just say the dead also cares Straight to his friends house Only to see them soaked on drums of wines Haven't they learnt anything The recklessness I lived that got me here Why so much in a hurry to  cross the life line To his workplace the loyal colleagues Greeted with shock and  surprised The work never pauses nor stops On his desk another is seated For the job I gave my all of me The workaholic, the ever serious Maybe that was the cause of his death In death, he got tired of the life he lived How he searched for wealth without caring for his health How he took everybody important but himself How reckless he lived thinking he was enjoying The devastation his loss have caused And how early the living tends to forget the dead. Cardiac monitor gave a mysterious  beep Beep to two hundred and increase to two-fifty That was the sound that woke him up Miracle in ward eleven The medical team trying to resuscitate him A once dead soul referred to as a body He has been gone for fifteen minutes Pulse returned and the dead has a second chance This is the story of the man who saw his death.
