Great metaphors and imagery, Sara! Those 'dark horses' aren't easily tamed. You'd think by the winding beauty of it, the excess water would get dizzied and be more restful? Tragic for those living close to it's shores. Good luck with the contest...looks like a winner to me! Best wishes, Mikki

Greetings Sara, thank you for your comment. I hope the recent flooding has missed your house. I learned a new word after reading this. Thanks for the added vocabulary! :) See you soon. -Rob

What a great beauty you have sketched while painting the diminishing water of this great river Mississippi during the season of spring. I use to read in the Geography books about this amazing River, but listening from you has left a different experience. Thank you for your kind and precious comments on my poem on Portrait of Jesus. He always kept a very special place for me and He would continue to do so in future also. Love and best wishes always ...Ravindra...S. Ken

learned a new word, the word Ornithopappi means an extinct order of birds, which you mean that the waters are no longer frozen, justlike those birds are no longer here, am I correct? any way this was a great piece you wrote. thank you for commenting on Pine Cone kissing needles
