Season Blues

~blue northern winds
           a frolicking arctic
                    whistling the blues

~blue skies darken
          the sun’s eyelid is closed
                    life dares to dream

~blue bulb tulips
          adamant potential
                    life given stores

 ~blue dormancy
           frozen earthly landscape
                     fur bearing seals

Enjoyed this one..Reads like winning material to me..Good luck in the contest...Thanks for stopping by, reading, and commenting on my work..The Brown Thrasher is the Georgia state bird...He was out in the front yard thrashing through leaves leaving a trail and a Mocking Bird flew down trying to run him off but the Mocking Bird met his match..Sara

This is so lovely, John. The wind may whistle outside, but when the skies darken, we "dare to dream" and dreams of love and nature are the best ones. Best wishes for success in Charles' contest, dear friend, and thanks for the congrats. Love, Carolyn
