Sea of Sadness

The sea roars in my ears today
Bemoaning the sadness I feel in every bone
Every cell every eye blink

Sadness I never
Fully understood before
Death found my family

I am helpless
Being flopped and turned
Not struggling not even caring

The sea roars into my ears today
Chilling no one for my soul is gone
We all died yesterday

I am neither warm or cold
I am not here or there
I no longer know myself

I am a puppet
Thrown carelessly around
By a world that has crucified me with her evil

My cousin was murdered yesterday
And her children
Five and eight

I am no longer here
I am being flopped around carelessly
Dying would be okay maybe better than this sea of sadness

'Chilling no one for my soul is gone' - this line resonates with me for it captures the hopelessness during those years when my depression was most severe ; a very dark, introspective side of you, Caren.

Thank you Michelle. I have many sides; this is the one I hide the most deeply, especially when I am the saddest and most depressed, so as you see, bringing her forth now means I am more in my manic phase.
