Sea of Gold

Lustrous waves of wheat,
Peppered with blues and reds,
Dancing in the wind,
Slowly swaying, rippling,
Flap and flutter,
Tranquil, peaceful,
Sundance of
Rising, dropping,
Rows and rows,
Of rich yellow,
Golden sea.

mmmmmm takes me back to when I was a boy with the hot summers when we would disappear into nearby countryside at every opportunity. Wonderful description angie. I can almost hear the breeze in the wheat fields and feel the sun on my back... and the trickle of a babbling brook close by.... THANK YOU...

There is nothing quite like living in the country...we made salsa tonight and put up about 11 pints.
