Sea Glass poetry contest
nestled in the depth of the crystal sands,
a broken piece slanted up towards the sky,
dark green and several inches long it stood,
reflecting the setting Sun into passing eyes,
the lower end of a broken bottle upside down,
half filled by washed in sand from the blue sea,
was perhaps sent with a message that bore love,
that piece of paper since then has been lost,
the one who wrote that letter has waited and left,
and sleeps now in someone else’s arms,
that letter was never read nor was it seen,
such is the story of some lost love in life,
hearts wait and leave, while bottles remain,
I picked the bottle up and took it home with me,
it rests on my table-
that brave love messenger from sea!
