It's the 'What happens next time you see her?' scenario that can prove tricky. Do you forgo your game of football in the playground to walk over to her and her mates and attempt to start talking without stammering or turning a deep puce colour? ...er..it once happened to a school friend of mine. Cheers - Gary

Ha no doubt I would’ve done a John Travolta in Grease, and acted real tough, to keep up appearances with my mates, then come crawling back to her the first chance I was alone, ah such is early teenage life, but the moment was great while it lasted, cheers David

Hello David, I liked how you intertwined the complexities of science with the innocence of a first slow dance. Your clever and heartfelt blend of physics and biochemistry with the awkwardness and excitement of teenage infatuation reminds me that even in the midst of confusion, there's beauty in the dance of hormones and emotions. It's a very nostalgic and relatable piece. Blessings, Daniel

Thanks Daniel, yes indeed a lot of internal complexities going on in that first slow dance, made all the more awkward by human intelligence not explaining the process at hand, other than (this feels fantastic), A question I still ask myself quite often when trying to figure out intelligence’s role in our evolution, but that’s for another day lol! Cheers David

Pretty In Pink came on (I let it play) a bit wilder at sweet 16 they are here, but same concept, first dance, first kiss first love. I'm sure you weren't a nerd either. Amazing piece of Bio/Sci Fi. It was both of your electric chemistries, here, David. I would of loved the story to flow on, in stereo sound that is! ~Disco doesn't suck

I was thinking more 13 going on 14 Anaya, I hadn’t a clue but instinctively knew what I wanted lol! No never a nerd, but was a sucker for girly girls, especially the ones (pretty in pink) I remember that song by the Psychedelic Furs, Discos certainly never sucked, cheers David

I think the fact that stereos even had a mono setting is probably lost to time. Mono and glandular fever are one and the same aren't they? Hang on, I'm trying to solve a poem :) Very cute poem David, fun to imagine you feeling shy haha

Stereo seemed to exude from her the nearer we pressed together Dilly, or was it the speakers lol! I was shy and monosyllabic at first, but we got the whole slow set in, walking on the moon going home, cheers David

OBVIOUSLY... it wasn't just your eyes that were straying. Your inner man had a mind of its own that the outer man had to pay for by not being able to remain concealed. Red 'blooded' male that you are, a testament to your normalcy. No need for Daniel's deductions on these lines, Cheers indeed, David!

Haha I challenged myself to write one that Daniel had no need to analyse Lin, only kidding! everything is on display in this one as almost every woman and man will attest to that, but I was seeing double after all, thanks for the vote of confidence in my very early teenage years, cheers David
