Notes About The Poem

    Hatching Praying Mantes

School Project

School Project The boy had a project for school: came home to now follow the rule to venture outside on a quest; discover a large insect nest. He found one to store in his room. Next morning he woke up with gloom! The Mantes had hatched and now crawl by hundreds all over his wall! Sandra M. Haight

You have a solid sense of rhyme and rhythm that breath life into your words aimed at a seven year old. The descriptive images enhance the reader's ability to envision the experience from your poetic viewpoint. Well done, Emile.

This is so typical, Sandra, and I love the picture, too. With us, it was silkworms.
