Scented Love Story
in the faithful flame
of a lovely lavender candle
there is no sorrowful shame
merely a sweet story to tell
of a lustful love
and a raging romance
that was approved above
with the first graceful glance
born of delirious dreams
and fancy fantasies
submerged in supple streams
of colliding romantic realities
this candle's lovely light
has seen our precarious passion
fading then burning bright
in a rare flaring fashion
