Scented Leaves

Refreshing balm of scented leaves
imbued with flavours to excite
the palette, or relax the mind;
A beverage of pure delight.

Those silky leaves of olive green
From sloping hillsides far away,
now withered, bring me constant cheer
reviving spirits every day.

For blended with a floral note
of bergamot or chamomile,
an energizing cup of tea
is guaranteed to raise a smile.

Very clever. My personal favorite is the steeped bergamot leaves. Here's to you, Wendy!

Thanks,Line. Yes, bergamot in the form over here of Earl Grey tea is very pleasant. I admit to being a tea-aholic!

Beautifully written Wendy. You have created a wonderful fall day with your words and though we are experiencing dreary wet and cold weather, it has been forgotten while reading this. Best wishes in the contest.

What a lovely comment, Chris. I can give coffee a miss but a good cuppa is hard to beat!

Actually between you and me, give me a regular tea with milk any day but the floral touch suited the title more! Thank you for reading and commenting.
