Scattered

Relinquished to various
not well known inner forces;
all with scattering tendencies
having no transcendent aim,
is the inestimable gift of attention
in this mind of mine,
ever dreaming within the dream.

The possible human in me
with only bits of it thrives
in sluggish survival mode,
ridiculously unaware
of its secret powerful might;
oh precious door to infinity!

Dazed by day lost by night,
succumbing ever am I to the swirls
of the forces known as life,
never quite firmly standing
on the ground of being.

Unsustained scattered attention
is my most common vice,
a broken bridge between low and high.

Drunken with distraction,
foolish is my every attempt
to shorten the gap
between earth and sky.

You know, the last place most people journey to is within themselves but I sense you are journeying there when it matters most for all the confusion going on around you is what I get from this. Commendable! Nothing foolish here!
