Scars and Tattoos
SCARS AND TATTOS
We often boast of being strong
Holding our heads high
And being in charge of our destinies
Human nature, full of pride
But for every scar there's a tattoo
The ink is the storyline
The colours are the stories
The needle is the pain
A butterfly for change
A bird for freedom
A rainbow for happiness
But a scar for life.
