Scars

Dwell in the beauty of the story behind your scars.
Each one tells a story deep within of who we are.
Of an experience that rendered us helpless,
Succumbing to life's ways.
The turmoil that broke us down lasted for many days.
Each wound slowly opened to let our vulnerabilities show.
Remembering where the pain was unbareable and realizing sometimes you need pain in order to grow.
Sometimes you need pain in order to let go,
Of a time that pushed us way to far.
In an attempt to heal who we no longer are.
Dwell in the beauty of your embedded scars
Because it's what makes us imperfect, that makes us who we really are.
It's In knowing we need to feel in order to heal the scars we hold within.
The scars hold many stories made up of memories we can never get back... some are good and some are bad. Most are of friends I never truly had.
All the goodbyes I have had to say. So many people that have walked away.
Scars left behind from times our hearts were abused.
I look back knowing it made me stronger to have been used.
The story of our scars each one of us bares, some of which are not at all fair.
It's in opening them up, not being scared that truly helps us grow.
The beauty of life is never about holding on. It is always about letting go.
It's never about hiding. It's about letting your beautiful scars show.
