Scared

My oh my why did the dog go for me Was a hazy Sunday morning as early as can be I started jogging when the dog jumped on my arm Was frightened as hell but I just tried to stay calm Please get it off me now But the dog clung on and began to growl It then got off me I thought that it had gone But within seconds it had pounced straight back upon I walked away with my hands over my face Trying to walk at a very brisk pace I turned around the owner had disappeared Not even an apology when she knew I was so scared I walked away shaking and angry with fear Just praying that the dog had just disappeared All my confidence has gone I don’t want to go back out Looking in all directions to see if anymore dogs are about I know I’m being silly but I just can’t let it go I just wished I hadn’t ever gone jogging as my heart is full of woe.

Might be an idea to take a few dog biscuits next time you go out jogging, might buy you some time to get away. Welcome to poetry soup Lisa. Tom
