Saying I'M Sorry

So here we are,
Eye to eye,
Still far apart.
Neither of us moves an inch.
We don't lose our edge.
Neither one of us says anything.
The other will smell the weakness.
We still care for each other.
But things have to be said.
You have your pride,
I have mine.
We're not giving that up easily.
So we stand here,
Looking at each other.
While the pain grows in our hearts
