Saying Goodbye To Summer

SAYING GOODBYE TO SUMMER

Come at close those tearful eyes
Hair now bathed in wind and rain
Reluctantly she breathes a sigh

Months too soon away have passed
Days and nights all warm and loving
Hard to say goodbye at last

But closer now the whistle sound
An eerie distant warning
For Autumn Falls express is bound

I love the bounties of summer; the happy sun, the flowers and all the freshness of the scents that accompany this season. Today is yesterdays tomorrow, and summer is still running its course. Keep well, hugs to you, Mikki

I was kind of thinking of a lover saying goodbye to his sweetheart and saying goodbye to summer as well. Thanks for reading. Love, daver
