Say Goodbye To Romance
It's time to say goodbye to romance
I don't think I've got any love left
I've gave love it's final chance
Now it's time for Cupid to meet his death
I've been a victim of Cupid's arrow from a young age
I lost my virginity when I was 13 but wish I waited longer
No disrespect to the girl because she was great
I just wish I'd waited till I was older and my feelings were stronger
I've had my fair share of girls I'm not going to lie
They chose to break my wings instead of encouraging me to fly
I followed my heart and I was faithful to love
I gave my all even when I wasn't able to trust
Following my heart only led me to the wrong place
Cupid always shot his arrow but got his aim wrong
All I've known is pain, betrayal and heartbreak
I guess me and Cupid just weren't singing the same song
I got cheated on when I was 19 with a girl I wanted in my life plans
Then for the next 2 years I had numerous one night stands
Just trying to cope and find a way to try again
And when I finally did, the girl I gave my heart to, made me cry again
I've had more downs than ups when it comes to love
I don't want kisses, sex, feelings, emotions or love
As a matter of fact I'm not sure if I have any love left
I'll let Cupid live, but I'm staying away from love for a while and giving my heart a rest
It's time to say goodbye to romance
I'm not ready to try again
One day I'll give love another chance
But first I'm going to teach myself how to fly again
