Say Cheese
Say Cheese
By Elton Camp
It puts me under an irritating little trial
When a photographer demands I smile
If it doesn’t work for him to ask, “Please,”
Next to come is the expression, “Say cheese”
Then, “Say whiskey” may be the next attempt
From smiling at that one, I also am exempt
I am not even a bit inclined to smile today
And you’re not going to get me to—no way
Actually, I think that most folks are repelled
By a smile that obviously has been compelled
Photographer, there’s no need to stay around
All you are going to get from me is a frown
