Saving Terralay Honor and Reputation
TerraLay was a party girl.
Drinking and driving killed her.
We were horrified.
As were her parents.
We kept it from her church.
And her minister
For they saw her as an innocent.
A Bible-reader.
A sweet sixteen.
We sang TerraLay’s praises and used our manners.
Kept her alive and holy in their minds, in a peaceful, loving way.
Letting her retain all honor and reputation by not outing her in the least.
Saving her party-girl way memories for ourselves.
