Saved From Myself

A small, frightened child
          crying, running, searching
	   for the arms to
		hold and protect me

This is how I see myself ...
but You Lord see me differently
                   ... You see me
                                 as this ....

A powerful, brave woman
standing strong through all the trials
	    coming out the victor endlessly
in my battles, tho' I cry

Looking up to You only
           for my strength and courage
	    this is my only means
		truly of survival

Your love and teachings are
my salvation and I need them so

Thank you for Your confidence in me
even when I had none myself
	    You have known me
from my first moment of existence

You chose me from my mother's womb
to live my life for You
	     though my paths were crooked
		You always brought me through

I thank you Lord,
           with great praises and honor
	     to You alone I give
for You have saved me from myself
