Saved By A Friend

When you're going through
the monotony of
everyday life
                    There may become
                    times when you
                    feel down

Boredom strikes
You think you're
a rat in the wheel
going through the motions

                    All the while
                    trying to keep
                    your composure,
                    your head above water

Then your friend appears
drags you out
of your doldrums
with compassion and empathy
companionship, friendliness
and a lust for life- - - - -

                   What A Blessing!
