Save Me

You came in the middle of the night. You took my hand in yours. You held on tightly as we walked out the door. I heard you say "I'll protect you and keep you forever safe." I believed the words you spoke. As I had nothing else left to believe in. You looked into my eyes, With a stare so deep it scared me. I felt my heart start to race. As I didn't know where I was going. You squeezed my hand and I relaxed. Somehow knowing I would be okay, Knowing I could trust you to save me.
