Saturday--Or-- Sunday

The Nine Commandments we follow today, Seems something is missing, gone astray! I seem to have read where there once were ten, But one is not followed, it begins with the word “remember” my friend. Remember the Sabbath is what God once wrote, A day God sanctified and made Holy, it is written and I quote. Hebrews 13:8 states He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, If He doesn’t change then whoever made the change wasn’t God, but was someone very clever! Daniel 7:25 says this adversary would think to change time and even the law, The Fourth Commandment refers to both time and Gods very own Law! The Sabbath is still Saturday, which is the seventh day of the week, And I have read the Bible from back to front and no where have I found the verse I seek. The verse that says the Sabbath was changed to the first day of the week, If someone can show me that verse they would be quite unique. Maybe I’m confused or has the world been deceived, For I too thought Sunday was the Sabbath in which I had believed! But if you know the truth, which they say will set us free, Then please show me the verse so I too can agree! I don’t want to know what you think, only show me the proof, This is something of great importance not something to be put aloof.

There are many different understandings of the bible Ronald, but only one simple truth "Jesus the Christ." May we all arrive at that one simple truth in our on time.Smile! Sincerely, Love, Moses

I understand and share your frustration with our political system, Ron. Political Betrayal wasn't just about the president, but all the politicians who have betrayed our trust. God is the only one I would trust at the helm, but I don't think He'll be on the ticket in 2012. Love, Carolyn

yes ron, in jewish law the sabath is from sunset friday untill sunset saturday, my husband thinks the reason it became a sunday could be because our Lord was raised on sunday the beginning of the week, this is only a possibility, then the sunday became the Lords day a s in SON DAY the sons day, = sunday, sorry if this sounds strange but what you say was true. in jewish laws the sabath still remains as a saturday. God bless you from diane

Isn't it ironic that we forget the commandment that tells us to "remember," Ron? Sometimes we need a wakeup call from a person of faith like yourself, but it shouldn't be that way. How can we forget to celebrate all He has given us, especially the love that guides us through each day. This is one for my favorites, Ron. John Freeman has some very inspirational verses you might appreciate. Love, carolyn

Nice use of rhyme to convey your thoughts. I figure the day is not as important as the fact that we give some time to God. You have a point--I've never read it in the bible where the sabbath was changed to Sunday either. Intersting perspective for the reader to ponder about. Thank you for sharing it. Karen
