Sassy is Four

Sassy is four now.
A tad calmer but fun dog to have.
Very playful and somewhat shy
except to strangers, she loves to bark
so excited she runs around the yard
barking and has to stop while still eyeing the
subject to quickly pee than up and at em again.
Silly dog she is.
Sassy whimpers and whines to get what she wants
even little Genghis will get up and move out
of the dog bed once she starts.
Spoiled dog she is.
Sassy is a sniffer, she likes to sniff
Genghis's head which he finds awkward
and she walks behind someone to sniff their leg
or butt. If lying down she will jump up to
you and sniff your head and face,
Nosey dog she is.
She loves treats and gobbles them down
than will beg Genghis for his waiting for a chance to
steal. Genghis enjoys growling at her with
a yap or two, wagging his tail and teasing her.
Greedy dog she is.
Sassy waits for me, staring out the window
in front of the driveway, wanting me to return.
Her pretty white face glows like an angel
she sits and waits and when I return she
is at the front door dancing happily
than I come inside and I pet and hug
my big baby girl and of course have to pick up
and hold little Genghis to stop his cries of joy
holding him in one arm while petting Sassy
with my free hand.
Good dog she is.
Sassy is four now, I pray I have her for a long long time.
