Sapphire Eyes

1.

Two wondrous Sapphires
within a jewelled face
Caressed by sunlight
They sparkle such blue light
Divine the depths of Sapphire fire
Such beauty lies within sapphire eyes
I swim within their depths
The warm love of blue lagoons
Visions sing into my mind
The gentle warmth of love divine
My soul alive with light
Deeper into the heart of sapphire love
What joy to be lost in sapphire eyes
Two priceless jewels
Shining forth from beauty's face
Oh the grace that dream can bring
Happy to be lost in a sapphire glow
That does come from sapphire eyes

Eroticism in a pure, classy sense (unlike the tawdry smut that passes for the genre today). Wonderful write~ Season's best, Gershon

Beautifully sensitive and romantic write, my friend, I just love this one! I am a gemologist, (among other things, lol), and I am very fond of sapphires, especially the deep, Kashmiri Sapphires that are so rare and wondrous, and this poem brought that and a special woman to mind ... nicely done, my friend! :-)

What a jewel of a joy to read, the repetition of 'sapphire' worked in lending emphasis to the desire within the poem, a desire expressed so well as reality. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
