Santa's Difficult Christmas Time

That was an extraordinary Christmas for Santa Claus,
his twentyfifth year of wintry journey without pause.
So in colorful foils he packed unique gifts in the night,
loaded them on the sleigh in the dawn’s first sunlight.

As on the downy snow-laden track the reindeer charged,
chilling wind hit his face hard, he felt feverish and tired.
He knew he caught Covid as body ache started to creep,
he slumped on road-side bench, soon slipped into sleep.

The reindeer got scared at his high-decibel coughing bout,
an imminent danger loomed large they had no doubt.
With the loaded sleigh they ran away as fast they could,
left sick Santa to find way to the hospital from the wood.
