Santa On the Run

SANTA ON THE RUN

The night before Christmas, Santa was late
Packing up his sleigh would just have to wait
He had diarrhea bad
The worse case he ever had
Caused by the bologna sandwich he ate

Rudolph and friends were in such a tizzy
They knew Santa had been very busy
The elves packed up Santa's sleigh
Since Santa Claus had to stay
In the loo because he was quite dizzy

Thank you, Charlie! I ate so much bologna growing up that I am immune to it creating gastric problems for me. I still engage! I appreciate your concern and I am also glad to call you friend. Merry Christmas, buddy!

Yes, I know you do and you write some real 'poopy' ones that are fun to read. But you are also gifted in writing some of the greatest poetry I have ever read. A truly talented lady --- that's you.

Bologna can do that! Your entry appeared to be based on the photo I posted, Curtis, and I love it. Competition for this contest was awesome and you did a great job. Thanks for supporting the contest with your witty verse. Have a merry Christmas, Carolyn

G'day Curtis … a gastro yarn is funny for everyone expect for the poor bugger welded to the dunny. Brought a smile on, and I gather the grinch would be happy to know Santa's in a pickle - thanks Curtis - Lindsay

Hi, Lindsay! First of all, I love your greeting. It reminds me of Crocodile Dundee. lol Thank you for stopping by and making my day with this response. Yep, you are right! Santa was really in a pickle. I can only imagine how the Grinch must have felt at knowing Santa had the runs but he must have been gleeful. Merry Christmas from this side of the world. Georgia is my home!

Hey, Gordon! Thanks a lot for the comments. I hope whatever it is that you are dealing with the past few weeks will soon get better. If it is something needs prayer, I am a prayer advocate and a prayer warrior. I will commit it to prayer if you wish me to. If you rather not share it, I will still pray in general. God knows what is on your heart and He will know what I'm talking about even if I don't know.

Never did like the stuff! I just hope the limerick fits the criteria. On a serious note, Tom, I want you to know how much I value your friendship. You are the epitome of the word 'loyal' and it is evidenced by your immediate, friendly, and encouraging comments to what I enter on Soup. To have a tribute written in honor of my 75th birthday is humbling. It is still being featured on the Soup sidebar. Thanks for all that you do in the name of friendship. Merry Christmas!
